We are looking for ways to design a single family solar powered coastal yacht where the parts are made in China (custom or off the shelf) such 
that all the parts everything fits in one container for shipping.

Using building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) or  SIPV (ship-integrated PV) could reduce the shipping volume of parts since the solar and roof layers are one.
So BIPV looks interesting.

We might do a pyramid design, either 3 or 4 sided.
So we could have 3 or 4 surfaces that we want waterproof and covered with solar.

It is not clear if any of the existing BIPV products could handle the continuous movement
that a yacht on the ocean has to deal with.  
Also, the level of salt spray could be a problem.  

Do you think any of the existing SIPV or BIPV products could work for us as they are?
What is the most similar application of SIPV or BIPV that you can find?

I suspect we have to do our own custom framing and to use marine rated solar panels.
Will this be very much work for a naval architect to do?

We hope to produce many of our container shippable yachts, so some extra up front design cost is acceptable.
