Solar

There is lots of room on a cylindrical seastead for solar panels.

Aluminum Frame Panels

Normal aluminum frame solar panels need to be mounted on a frame. They can also be away from the body with some airflow under to take away heat. This could help keep the living area cooler or reduce the AC electric usage. These panels seem to last well.

Flexible Solar Panels

Flexible solar panels cost more and do not seem to last as long but they would not need a frame. For a prototype this might be the easier way to go.

Wiring

All solar panels in a string should be at the same angle to the sun so they produce the same amps. So we will have horizonal rows of panels in the same string.
